In 2007 Autocon finished second in team points in the P1 class to the vaunted Audi manufacturer's supported team, making San Diego-based Autocon the highest ranking privateer contender for the year in the American Le Mans Series. Chris McMurry narrowly missed beating out Intersport's Cling Field for the highest ranking privateer P1 driver, and was again among the finalists for the Founder's Cup honoring the series top gentleman drivers.
